Our presence in Egypt’s highly prolific Gulf of Suez is a critical step towards our long-term growth

Located in the southern region of the Gulf of Suez, the Southeast Ras El Ush Block is an offshore exploration and development block with a total area of 68 square kilometres. The block includes the West Ashrafi discovery and lies within close proximity of the producing fields of East Zeit & Sidki.

Pacific oil limited is the operator of the Southeast Ras El Ush Block with a 50 percent working interest and is developing the two existing discovery wells, namely West Ashrafi-1X and West Ashrafi South-1X. Having been tested for hydrocarbons in commercial quantities from the Kareem and Belayim formations, the combined oil production during testing has been indicated at 5,355 BOPD with gas reserves at 18.14 MMSCFD. Additionally, the nearshore area within the block indicates a very high upside for further exploration of Pre-Rift reservoirs for the Nubia and Matulla formations.
